Re: Deluxe Items disappeared

Thanks for getting back, I can pass this on to the team to be aware of. 

To check, you had first mentioned you came back to the game after a while. Did you uninstall and reinstall Immortals when you came back or did it stay on your device the whole time?

Also to confirm in the Steam client > If you right-click Immortals of Aveum > Select "Properties..." > DLC > Do you have check marks next to any of the deluxe items?

• Also if you check in-game once a save is loaded, what does it show now when you select "Check add-ons"

So, about that. It had been indeed since January-ish I did not play it?
However I never did uninstall it.

As for the DLCs, I attached the screenshot to this message: they are here and checked.

If I am to summarize, when I logged back in this may, I noticed my character was equipped with Lv1 gear exclusively, which was obviously not the case when I stopped playing months ago.

I tried pressing "SPACE" on the pause screen, only to be met by an error message stating that I do not own any kind of DLC content.

My worst guess is somehow the save was corrupted and removed the deluxe item... Do you know if a new game has the items appear correctly?

That being said I'm not to certain of what the issue might be, if we get an update from the team I can pass it on here.

Also this might be silly but have you tried verifying the game files and seeing if the items reappeared in the forge? 

Oh, not silly at all!

I have tried repairing the files. It did not seem to help. Nor does anything reappear in the forge.

As for starting a new game and see if they appear there. I will do it soon, I just need to find some time.
Would you be interested in knowing the outcome?

Yes! whenever you have a moment. The DLC should unlock in Chapter 4 once you are tasked with getting to the palathon for the first time. I'm curious to see if something has become corrupted with the first save or if this might be tied to something else.

As we agreed on, I played the game from the start up to Chapter 4 where I gain access to the Forge for the first time. This is when, normally, I should recover all the Deluxe items.

Unfortunately, I hate to tell you that it is still not the case. No sign of any items. Still the same result when I press "SPACE" on the pause screen to check up on missing content.

I am keeping that save, in case you need any screenshots or kinds of info.

I'm in the exact same boat. Hadn't played the game for a bit, loaded it up and all my gear was at level 1 with all Deluxe Edition items missing. Checked for Add-On content, says I don't own any, nothing in the forge.

I started trying things. I verified files, unchecked dlc, loaded the game, and checked for Add Ons. They actually showed up! (Completely unleveled, though, which is another frustration). But after I re-equipped them, I checked for Add Ons again, out of curiosity, and it said I didn't own any Add Ons, it saw them once, why not twice? Closing and re-loading the game, my items were gone again.

I then tried a few more times to recreate them showing back up. For a bit, I thought they were gone for good. But I finally got them to show, and I was able to save and load a couple times and they were still available.

So something is bugged here, but try going into the DLC page for the game in Steam and uncheck the deluxe dlc, load the game, leave game, recheck them, then load the game. See if they come back for you. It does suck that ALL of the resources I put into these items to level them up are gone, but I wasn't very far in the game, so these are still better than what I had (especially since it gave me level 1 base items when these got removed).

A customer that paid extra for these items shouldn't go through this, so I would suggest the Devs figure out why this is broken, but at least they can come back. Also a shame there is no way to recover the resources put into leveling these up....quite frustrating.

However, as much as I would love to tell you otherwise, I am afraid that retracing these steps:

- unchecking the DLC on steam

- booting the game on both my saves

- quitting the game

- rechecking the DLC on steam

- booting the game on both my saves

- get to the forge

The items still do not reappear.

Maybe my issue is deeper? Or maybe taken at another level? I could not say.

Well, when I posted that yesterday, it worked through a few reloads so I thought it was "stable".

Loaded the game today, I'm back to no Deluxe Items, again.

So no, it's not you, I just happened to luck into them coming back for a short period of time.

Deluxe Items are just broken. It's a reward for spending extra for the game!

Seriously, this type of thing should never happen to customers.

And today, they are back....I did nothing but load up the game.

Completely random.

I'm not going to continue my game until it's stable enough to always show up through random checks. Don't want to waste resources on items that will randomly disappear.

With how things were going form the start, I thought I would never get any support for this issue.

At least now I feel reassured and heard.

Just like LinkPoledouris, I think I will refrain from playing the game until it gets solved. I would not want to do anything that may make their recovery impossible.

Thank you for letting us know as soon as you have news. I would also appreciate if you could check up with us once in a while even if you have nothing new, just so at least we know our issue is not getting forgotten or hidden under a rug.

No update on the issue but a slight ask, would it be possible to get your save file for the game? 

The location should be: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/P3/Saved/SaveGames

You can share it here on Answers HQ as a .rar file, or share something like a G-drive download link. The files won't have any PII (Personal Identifiable Information)

Here is my file, I didn't get to check today if they were there or not.

Just as another data point, deluxe items are there today.

It sounds odd how they just spawn in and out of existence for you.
Maybe I have not insisted enough, but I never ever saw them back.

Yep, doesn’t make sense. I could have sworn it was fixed a couple days ago when they showed up and worked all day, only for them to disappear the next time I load up the game.

When the items are back, the add-ons screen does show the proper info. When I log in and they aren’t there, it shows “no addons” or something to that effect. It isn’t an error, just that I don’t have access to them.

Are you prepared for this? Now they are missing again!

The exact message when I check for add-ons is:

No Premium Content is owned. Visit the game store page for more details.

When this happens, I have 2 sigils reverted back to level 1 (had deluxe items in those two slots), no totems, rings, or bracers equiped (all deluxe items).

That is the message I have all the time indeed.

Just did a Deluxe Gear Check (DGC) and it is there right now.

The only pattern I see is that every time I check, it’s the opposite. But it has to have time between checks. So right now, I will have them no matter how many times I log in and out (which I did a few times). If I check in a few hours, though, they will probably be gone again.

The timing thing is confusing, but it’s almost like there is a check bit, and each time I do a DGC with time passing between, it flips the bit, so each time it’s different. That’s the only explanation I can think of for this type of behavior.
