Re: Immortals of Aveum - P3 Unreal Crash Solution

Hey all,

Sharing an update on this from the game team. At this time the team believes the issue should be resolved for most players by deleting the P3 folder under "YourPCName\Appdata\Local\P3" then clear the EA app cache and launch Immortals of Aveum normally (NOT as an Administrator).

Since all game progress is also saved to the cloud you shouldn't lose any game progress.

If you're still experiencing crashing after this, please submit an EA error report to us via the steps outlined here

Thanks!

  • I have found a further solution to the UE-P3 crash.

Playing on Steam, I tried the delete the P3 folder, and turning off cloud saves but it did not solve the crash for me.

I had only downloaded the demo at that time.

However I recalled that some games WILL NOT launch on the EA App, if I have a VPN running.

I paused my VPN and Immortals of Aveum launched perfectly.

Also I only paused my VPN, so it automatically became active again within minutes as I played Immortals of Aveum. This caused no problem with playing the the game whatsoever, including when closing down the game and Steam syncing.

On the EA App you may need to pause the VPN to launch Immortal of Aveum. Then again when you close Immortals of Aveum. I can only hazzard a guess at that, as I bought mine of Steam.

Problem is 100% solved for me.

I often launch Immortlas of Aveum to continue playing, and forget to pause my VPN. This brings back the UE-P3 crash message.

Again, just pause VPN and the game launches again no problem.

I bought the game the moment it went on sale. Loved the demo and the game is equally as good, if not better. .... A real shame this stand out title has suffered so terribly from review bombing.

  • Hello all,

I also recently purchased Aveum on Steam and have encountered this same error. The game reliably crashes when I attempt to start a new game from the menu. I've tried practically every single troubleshooting step the internet could suggest--such as deleting the P3 folder (which prevents the game from loading at all), on top of restarts, reinstalls, verifies, updates, set time, admin mode, double-checking hardware compatibility, etc.

When I saw mention of the EA app, I tried logging in and running Aveum through there (I don't have a VPN). But the game isn't even the library. The only game in my EA library is something irrelevant I downloaded via Steam a year ago.

I tried relogging in and clearing the cache of the EA app, but it seems to have stopped communicating with Steam altogether. I even tried downloading Apex through Steam, and that didn't manifest in the EA app either. Is there no way to "sync" them? Is the consensus that this game only works when launched in the EA app? I am new to this side of gaming, but I don't even understand how that could be a limitation.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Tried these steps and astonishingly it made the problem even worse. Before id get 10-15 mins of play before it crashed, now it crashes within 20 secs.

Any help would be appreciated. It is also the p3 error.
