@aeralureWow I’ve been racking my brain for the past 2 days over this. Pretty ridiculous but I’m glad to have an answer finally.

@DarickisDamnedYeah, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It may be a bug. I reported it as such, but it may also be intended that only the host gets credit. I don't know. I asked a few friends if they would help, but a few of them have left the game now due to this issue, so I am not sure I'll be able to complete it. One said they waited two days for someone to come assist randomly and no one did. No one wants to help on it because you don't get credit. I may leave the game as well.

Hopefully it is a bug and gets fixed so that guests can get credit for it. I may be done until that is the case, as others in my circle left and I don't know how to get help now as a host.

@aeralureQuick update, I was able to host last night and defeated all 4 deeply volatile Kemono and received the trophy but still the quest has not progressed .

@DarickisDamnedOh no! I was able to find a friend who had already done it and we went through them together. It all worked out on my end (even though I still think guests should also get credit for participating, and that it is or will be a problem down the road), but very sorry to hear that your did not. I suggest taking a screenshot of your map and the quest status and post it in the Focused Bug Report thread.

What's the name and objectives of the next quest then?

@DarickisDamnedPartial success! I have learned from other players on the other platforms that only the PS5 has this problem. On Steam and XBox you can defeat the deeply volatiles in multiplayer, not as the host, and still get credit towards the quest, and the achievements, although there may be other individual bugs associated with this achievement on those other platforms.

I'm playing in Steam. I manage to defeat 4 deeply volatile kemonos as a guest. I didn't get the trophy/achievement but there are no more objectives listed for me besides the hunt freely, live freely quest.
