I Have EA Play game pass and i cant play WILD HEARTS 10 hours trial pls help

    Hi @BAC9lH_HaruB_228 I wanted to check if this is still happening. Are you trying to play it through Steam or EA App? Which platform do you have an EA Play sub on?

  • Same here. I'm trying to play through windows XBOX app (PC game pass with EA PLAY that comes with it). I also have EA PRO BTW.

    Everytime I press PLAY from XBOX app it redirects me to EA PLAY which is normal, but the game won't launch. Pressing PLAY from EA PLAY sometimes does nothing, sometimes gives me error Your game failed to launch.

    I did try everthing, remove both apps, unlink account, re-install EA, move folder from program files to program files(X86) etc.

    You are SooL. Instead of fixing it, they just removed the trial alltogether this morning. Its an issue with their launcher, and instead of fixing it, they just removed the demo entirely.

    Also have the same issue, have tried all the suggestions mentioned earlier in the post.

    Before the patch, I could not launch it at all, after trying everything.

    The day of the patch (after patch), it suddenly worked, and was able to play for quite a while, no crashes.

    Next day, I didn't change anything, but it doesn't work again, can't launch, EA app appears and disappears and nothing happens.

    So I tried unlinking the steam account and tried buying the game in EA app, where it actually works perfectly.  But as I was unable to get a refund for the Steam version, I had to get a refund on the EA app version. I tried the Steam version again after re-linking, and it still doesn't launch, but now that we know it works if it's from just EA app, there is probably something wrong with Steam trying to open the game through the EA app that is causing the issues.  I have already migrated fully to the EA app, and I made sure the accounts are linked correctly. Is there anything you can spot that I could do to make the Steam version work?

    Hey, could we get a reply?

    Do you guys have any idea what might be causing the failing to launch when using the steam version, but completely fine with the EA app version? (As in, Unlinked from Steam, so it doesn't have to go through Steam before trying to open the game).

    I can't keep the EA app version since Steam is refusing to give me a refund, so I need some kind of way to play on the Steam version...

  • My wife is unable to run WH (purchased via EA app/ non-steam install) on her windows account (Admin), but WH will run on the same PC with my windows account (Admin account that installed windows).  I did a ton of troubleshooting and this just seems bizzarre.   Why would what account is trying to run the game have any bearing on whether it would run?

    If I try to run it on her windows account, we get the odd behaviour of WH sitting in the taskmanager and using up 400mb of ram, but not actually being playable.  She also has no KoeiTecmo folder in her documents.  If I log out of her windows account and log in on mine, sign her into the instance of the EA app on my account and launch the game, it starts right up.  All programs and services are installed as system-wide, so I have exactly the same background processes running as her account.

    This is baffling.  We ran thru all of the recommended steps from EA to no avail.  Why does this work?

    EDIT: Running the EA app as administrator seems to have rectified the issue.  Once the game successfully launched, removing admin privileges from the app still resulted in the game launching.  I'm not sure what changed since the last time I tried it, but progress is progress.

    @CasualThunder  This i the issue im having it just runs in the task manager, i tried running the ea app as admin and did nothing sadly.

    Somehow, disabling/uninstalling "Nahimic VR", which is installed if you have MSI, made it so I can play the game now.  It's a sound program, so try disabling some sound programs in task manager and see if it works :o

  • Tried that and still nothing, going on a week trying everything i have seen across reddit youtube these forums and steam and still nothing, crazy

    Ah I meant like, turning it off in task manager so it's not active (the nahimic vr), uninstalled it cuz I didn't need it.

    I tried disabling sound devices in device manager before also but that didn't work for me either, though apparently it works for some people.

  • Shutting down any Nahimic programm worked for me, too. Nevertheless, the performance was so unacceptable on my 2080Super, kind of wasn't worth the time figuring out...
