We are playing Split Fiction locally via Steam (Windows 11). At the beginning of Neon Revenge, in the moment depicted by the attached screenshot, Zoe's gravity whip does not impact the target after jumping or double jumping.
We've tried many times, and we've watched multiple video walkthroughs of the mission, where the whip easily snaps to the target. Not in our case, so we believe it's a weird and frustrating bug. Is anyone else experiencing the same?
So my boyfriend and I were playing and got stuck at this part for 15 minutes and watched some walkthroughs where it was super easy to just swing across then decided it must be a bug in the game so ended up here. There was no answer so we tried again. Then noticed that the target says R1 not R2 that was previously used in the last room for the whip. Have you been pushing the correct button?
We found a workaround. My daughter and I got past the section in local play (the grapple effect worked fine). Then my brother and I reconnected and progressed from there. Not perfect, but it got the job done!
I am having the same problem playing cross-platform, me on PS5 (with a digital copy of the game) and my brother with a friend’s pass on a Windows PC. We’ve tried switching characters, but the glitch persists. It seems like the grapple point is not responding to the gravity whip.
