I’m on Act 1, Ascend to the Eye of the Storm. There is a purple door that is down (blocking the path) and has an electrical cord running to it. The cord shows purple moving through it. I’ve shot the ...
To confirm if you hold the buttons down to aim the spear, you should get an orange glow over it before you fire. Do you see this pop up? If not try adjusting where it will shoot the spear to get it to pop up.
If you hit it correctly it shouldn send an oragnish spark through the wire all the way back to the door.
When I approach the ring, it is glowing blue already. I shoot it with the orange spear, and I see the orange sparks go down the wire, but the ring still sparkles blue and the wire still is just different shades of purple. I tried to attach a video, but videos are allowed file types. Basically, the ring is glowing sparkling blue both before and after I shoot it. It does not glow orange before I shoot it, but the wire does sparkle orange down it immediately after I shoot it, but the door doesn’t open, and the ring still glows blue. the attached picture is what it looks like both before and after I shoot it, but as I said, when I do shoot it with the orange spear, orange sparks do go down the wire.
@EA_Illium I also got this exact same issue on PS5. Unable to progress through the locked door after shooting the ring with the spear. The spark flows down the wire, but the door never unlocks. Tired reloading save, restarting PS5. I'm not sure I ever saw the orange glow over the ring when aiming the spear. Thanks.
Thanks for confirming I’m not the only one with this problem. I’m only a couple hours into the game, but I don’t want to start a whole new game, especially if I could potentially run into the exact same problem on a new game.
