The Game crashes when I try to start it

I cou8ld also use some help with this issue - when I try to launch the game, it returns me back to the EA App. This applies to when I launch from either XBox app or the EA App itself. I have logged out, logged in. Cleared the app cache, ran a repair and most recently, uninstalled and re-installed the app. I am faced with exactly the same issue.

For a test, I installed Plants vs Zombies via the XBox App (didn't want another huge download). This works perfectly well, whether I launch from EA App or the XBox App. I have 30 hours of play in IoA and it's really frustrating that I can't finish the game because I'm no longer able to play it.

To check do you get any kind of error message or does the game just close at a certain point? 

Also, would it be possible to get a DxDiag file?

No error message. Try to launch the game - brings up the 'loading' window (with red progress bar), then just returns back to the EA app window, without the game launching.

Thanks for the clip and lettings us know what you're running into!

Can we give the following a try first?

1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
2.  Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
3. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
4. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.

Tried all steps -  still facing exactly the same issue when trying to launch the game - eternal loop back to the EA app, game never launches. 

Apologies for the delayed reply - unfortunately running as Administrator makes no difference. I experience exactly the same outcome (i.e. it returns back to the EA Play app game window - and reports that 'Immortals Of Aveum' was 'last played' moments before - even though the game never actually started).

Additional context - I recently installed FC25 via EA Play and this opens as expected and runs without issue. It seems to be a specific issue relating to IoA and the EA App as other my EA Games open and play normally.

I am seeing multiple threads having the same problem, and indeed so am I.  SFC doesn't fix it, running as admin doesn't fix it, clearing the cache doesn't help, reinstalling it doesn't help.  I actually wonder, based on some of the other feedback, if this isn't somehow linked to Game Pass, since that's how I am running it and so is at least one other person having the same trouble.  Weirdly, this game also worked fine for ~8 hours before the issue started.

This is pretty ridiculous, though.  The game is entirely unusable.  Is there any way to get a useful log about what's happening during boot?  An argument I could add to the boot to get some information or - even better - to fix the problem?  I see nothing in event logs that seems related; as far as the computer is concerned, it thinks it's booting as intended.  I am happy to work on this, but posting the exact same steps to every post even though no one has had any luck with them is not helpful.

Oh, and just as an additional nugget of info: this looks an awful lot like the pinned Intel CPU issue, but I am working with an AMD Ryzen.
