Account won't log in?

This sounds like you already have another Xbox gamertag currently linked to your EA account- only one Xbox gamertag can be linked to an EA account at a time. You'd first need to unlink this older gamertag from your account before you can link your new gamertag. 

To unlink this older gamertag, please try the steps in the article here. If you run into any issues with unlinking this older gamertag, or getting the new gamertag linked, you'll want to contact live support so they can review your account details further and explore your options with you. You can contact live support for more assistance from the help site here. 

 Can you provide a more specific, concrete method of contact? Following that link leads me down multiple link trees, none of which have further contact information. They will eventually redirect me to this community forum, but no email or phone numbers.

I have the same account, but I changed my gamertag. I do not want to unlink my account and lose game progress, when this is that account already.

From the help site under the Game Support section, you'll select EA app as the product, then Manage My Account-> I want to update my EA account information. From there, you'll see the current available contact options.
