Hello, I can't download NHL 21 for free on PS4. I've checked my account to make sure my membership is valid it is, I've also tried using another solution on the site, grabbing it via the PS store website and still have the issue. I do have the ability to download FIFA 21 for free though, so it seems to be an issue with NHL 21 only.

Hi. I have a strange issue. I was able to download EA NHL 21. But it systematically crashes within the first minute. Whether i enter the initial settings or not. It just keeps on quiting to my PS5 home page. 

Ive deleted it, downloaded a second time, clear the saved data, rebooted my PS5, but the issue remains. I own 3 dozens games, many from EA, but it’s the very first time I experienced this issue. 

There is 160 gig available after download. Im out of ideas. Ive contacted EA yesterday, they sent me a link the playstation troubleshooting, and operated all steps.. but still cannot get to play the game. I have just enough time to start a game or training mode, but it quits. 

All is properly updated (game and system). 

what are my options?

Hi EA_Aljo, I've successfully done both procedures. Restoring licenses and rebuilding the database in safe mode.

Unfortunately, it has not solved the problem. EA NHL 21 quits abruptly every 50 seconds or so. Whether i'm playing, whether it's on a loading screen or even at EA NHL 21's home screen, doing nothing, it will automatically leave the game and return to my PS5 home page. It happens from the console or a USB Storage.

If I manage to start a game, once it has crashed, It will bring me back to where I was when I start back the game.

One thing I noticed, if I am offline, the game wont open, stating : Can't use this content. To use this content, purchase it.

If I play, and cut internet while playing, I can go back to the game and it will work.. until it crashes again.

Does this help? Any idea what is going on? I can share more info if needed.

Again, I've not had any issues with any other games, other than AC Val froze once (on 200 hours plus playing). All my EA FIFA works fine.

If you have the digital version of the game, you have to be online in order to play it. It sounds like your connection is frequently dropping. Are you playing on a wireless connection by chance?
