[CLOSED DUE TO NECROPOSTING] (PC) EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Not Working

I'm trying to download Fifa and Battlefield V through PC game pass but its saying i need to buy ea play. I've linked my EA and Xbox accounts by signing into EA by clicking the Xbox logo. I have already tried to doing app recovery in the EA app and that hasn't helped. Does anyone have any clue on how to fix this issue?

    I have fixed it. I cancelled the subscription and resubed.

    Hey, folks

    I am looking into any updates on this one but do not see any. Will update when I have more info on it. As of now, the following are steps that should help with the Game Pass and the EA app/EA account not linking:

    • Close the EA app.
    • Navigate to the Xbox app
    • Go to settings (click your name in the top left corner)
    • Select "extensions"
    • Disable the extension for the EA App 
    • Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app
    • You'll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension" 
    • Enable the EA app extension
    • The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically
    • Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game
