Does progress save if I switch EA play from Origin to Steam?

My EA Play subscription with Origin recently expired, and I thought that I would get it on Steam so I can play F1 2021. I am worried saves and progress for games won't transfer to Steam if I do this...

@LNR_Plasma  If a save is stored locally, as in, on your computer, you can transfer in-game progress from one gaming client to another.  The lack of cross-platform progression typically refers to switching between consoles or between a console and PC.

I don't know the specifics of the games you're playing, but you should be able to google the save location for any game in question.  If it's saved in Documents, a Steam install should use that same folder and read your saves without your doing anything else.  If a save is located within the game's program files, you'll want to copy over the save once you've installed the game through Steam.  Either way, make a backup copy before doing anything else.

Achievements may not transfer at all, but it's possible some newer games do support this as well if you're using linked Origin and Steam accounts.
