Download Error with EA Play Pro

Bought EA Play Pro Last night to play Dead Space Remake but was unable to download the game or add it to my collections. The game tries to download but fails with a "try again in a few minutes" message. Tried to install/add a few other games that I do not own and had the same issue. I can download games I own but none using PlayPro, I have tried clearing the cache, reinstalling, moving install location, checked my hard drives for FAT32, running as admin, closing background apps and firewall settings. I have spoken to support and they was also unable to help but told me to post here. I'm also missing all of my Sims 4 DLC which i can download and install but it does not show up in-game, no idea if that is related or not. i'm using the EA App and Windows 11 both are up to date.

  • I spoke with someone on the live chat tonight, they suggested using the Origin app instead of EA app, and so far I'm able to download Dead Space Remake.  Sounds like a synchronizing issue to me, so as of right now I would suggest sticking to Origin app until they fix the issue on the EA app.

  • Yeah i'm still unable to download any games with PlayPro

  • A friend let me login to his account to see if i could download the game and it worked fine, seems like the issue is with my account?

  • I'm having the same issue as well, and customer support keeps sending me troubleshooting links even after I've been telling them over and over again that I can download games I already own and that it might be an issue on their end. And what do they do? Send more and more troubleshooting links!

@NemesisEnforcer5 have you linked your xbox account to your EA one? I did recently and thats the only thing i can think of. I have tried the workaround posted by Darko but that didn't work for me either.
  • @Ploxxy_9 At one point yes, I unlinked it to see if it worked, but it didn't. Now customer support is referring me to Microsoft support, don't know how much they can help.

I'm also having the same issue. Followed all the troubleshooting steps the agents gave and ultimately said to contact Microsoft. They also made me unink my Xbox GamePass account which I previously had linked before purchasing the EA Play Pro membership. Now none of the games Pro or non Pro would download.

Thanks for the update. I went ahead and cancelled my subscription and got the game on Steam instead. I don't think I'll be using EA Play Pro anytime soon because of the lack of support. They woudn't even give me a refund after not being able to use their service at all.
