EA Play does not let my buy FIFA 21 on PS5 (E2-8210674C error).

EA Play does not let my buy FIFA 21 on PS5 (E2-8210674C error).

Hi, I have a valid EA Play subscription and I am trying to buy FIFA 21 for myself. I know it is included on the EA Play subscription, buy I want the game for me (for example if I want to later cancel the EA Play subscription I still want to play the game).

However, when I try to buy it on the PS Store of my PS5, it shows the error "E2-8210674C", saying that I already own the game (although I do not have it). The game is currently on sale in my country and I really want to have my own digital copy, but EA Play is not letting my buy it.

How do I solve this issue?

    Hi @iluminatethesky I have just spoken to PlayStation's team and they mentioned that EA would have to cancel my EA Play subscription, in order to allow me buy the game.

    I have cancelled the subscription on my PS5, however it is still valid for the coming weeks. How can I cancel my EA Play subscription right now, so I can buy the FIFA 21?

    You would need to reach out to EA Support via Live Chat, so they can look into your Account.

    You can reach them here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/using-ea-help/

    They should be able to assist you with this, unfortunately we cant handle account related issues on the Forums.

    Hope this gets resolved for you, and you're able to purchase FIFA 21.

    Hey @FCTBR, I'm not sure where they are getting that information from.


    With an active EA Play membership, you should still be able to purchase games that are included with EA Play and receive a 10% discount. I tested this just now and was able to purchase FIFA 21 on an account with an active EA Play membership.


    If there is an issue with EA Play and purchasing on PSN then this is something that PSN support should be able to assist with as our live support team has no access to the PSN store or purchases through it.

    I would recommend speaking with PSN support again and explaining the situation.

    @FCTBR I just had the issue. I contacted play station support and was told to wait 24 hrs or try using a play station card to pay for it. 24hrs later I tried purchasing fifa 2022 again but still kept getting the same issue. I changed my payment method and tried again still the same and finally got a PlayStation card and it was smooth sailing from there.
