EA Play on steam or EA App?

I just want some clarification regarding EA Play. Does the games differ if you choose to pay for EA Play through steam or EA App? Because on EA's website here https://www.ea.com/ea-play/games#stea...

EA Play subscriptions on different platforms are not linked.

So to get access to the games part of EA Play subscription on Steam you will have to subscribe on Steam

Your EA Play subscription through Game Pass will not give you access to Steam EA Play subscription

Thank you for the clarification. That is so lame and poorly explained by the "Included with EA Play" message. Should be called EA Play Steam or something similar if they are different subscriptions.
