OK, took almost two hours to get through to chat with EA. They know there’s an issue and loads of people have messaged them. There is no fix but they sorting as we speak. Who knows how long it will take
Had the same issue. I cancelled my pre-order of the full game and now the trial works

I preordered the standard edition of the game on my xbox. And once it had downloaded I had the "trail has expired" error. So I refunded the preorder on xbox and now the trail works.
- @SwankyBlobfish Do you think you can re-download the pre-order? Can’t really remember what it is on standard. Not much from memory .
