EA Play via XGPU - Unable to Download Games via EA/Xbox app Since Jun. 21, 2024

Hi  I purchased xbox pass today and I wanted to play some games that are in the EA pass  (xbox pass includes ea pass ) However when I start the ea app FROM the xbox app (the 2 are correctly linked...

    TEMPORARY ISSUE RESOLVED - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility

    Hi everyone,

    We can confirm that the temporary issue preventing some players from downloading EA Play games via their EA Play subscription through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the EA app/Xbox app for PC has been resolved, as earlier reports in this thread also indicate.

    If you're still experiencing this issue after clearing the EA app cache, signing out and back in on both the EA and Xbox for PC apps, etc., please refer to the post HERE and share the requested information.

Hey Everyone, 

Thanks for contacting the community and informing us what you are running into with EA Play!

For anyone still unable to download EA games with GamePass Ultimate, would it be possible to get the following information?

  • EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
  • Are you getting an error message?
  • Do you still have an active GamePass Ultimate Subscription?
  • Are your EA and Xbox accounts linked? Have you recently unlinked them?
  • Can you not download a specific game or any game?
  • If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip of the issue...
  • Please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number

We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

Having the exact same issue. Cannot download anything.

EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag): ElMorrisimo

Are you getting an error message?  No error message, just can't install game

Do you still have an active GamePass Ultimate Subscription? Just a Game Pass standard sub

Are your EA and Xbox accounts linked? Have you recently unlinked them? Everything is linked - Recently unlinked to reset (didn't work beforehand)

Can you not download a specific game or any game? Can't download any game

If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip of the issue... Clip attached - Note PC GAME PASS is ACTIVE
