game pass

So I recently purchased my Xbox game pass(PC) which had EA Play included with it. When I try to log into the EA Desktop app using my Xbox linked account, I get this error. The log in works fine on the origin app and on the web version of EA Play but I can't download and play games unless I log in through the EA Desktop app. I contacted the technical advisors and tried everything from clean boot to reinstallation. Nothing works ☹️

I'm having the exact same issue! I've tired everything thing now and nothings worked. On my EA it doesn't show my Game Pass at all, but if I go on to my Xbox Game Pass it shows my EA linked. But yet, I still get the something went wrong message. Even went on the online chat and they didn't fix it!

What happens when you close the background services for the EA app before you launch the EA app?

I’ve tried everything. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded both Xbox and ea pass. 
I’ve reset my ea password several times, as it prompts you to do that when trying to link xbox game pass with ea.

I’ve set my pc to allow everything.

not sure what else to do.

So I had the same problem, I was trying to link my Xbox game Pass to my ea account to Play ea games included on game Pass, the solution for me was to create a new ea account with the same email as the game Pass account. When I was getting that error my ea account email was different to my game Pass email. 

but this is a pain in the a**, i have the same error here, but if i create a new EA account i won´t get my games in my other account.

I'm getting the same issue on my end and I have also tried all that was mentioned above including killing  the EA background services. Still no change.
