Whenever I try to download star wars squadrons throught xbox game pass software the following error message appears: "something went wrong... To continue linking yout EA account, head back and start ...

So I recently purchased my Xbox game pass(PC) which had EA Play included with it. When I try to log into the EA Desktop app using my Xbox linked account, I get this error. The log in works fine on the origin app and on the web version of EA Play but I can't download and play games unless I log in through the EA Desktop app. I contacted the technical advisors and tried everything from clean boot to reinstallation. Nothing works ☹️
