Known Issue Workaround: Unable to Download EA Play Games for EA Desktop

This company offers nothing but headaches. First it forces players on other platforms to use their barely functional Origin software and now I can't even play any of my EA Play Games on PC with Game Pass Ultimate. The moment I try to install EA Desktop, I get hit with a installation error. Clicking continue just results in an indefinite blank screen with the EA logo. Looking for a solution is a nightmare and I really don't understand why accessing games has to be so difficult.
