Re: [Game Pass] EA Play Asking to Purchase Game Already Owned

@AronniPepperonni Typically this means that the wrong accounts are linked. This is not always the case but most often is. It could also be a sync issue between the linked accounts.

If you log into EA.com with the right EA account, and under connections you see the right Xbox account, also check the purchase and subscription tabs. You would see that you are linked with Game Pass.

If you do not, you will need to log out of EA.com and log in with your Xbox account to sync the accounts.

Here are some steps to help on the Xbox app side

  • Close the EA app.
  • Navigate to the Xbox app.
  • Go to settings (click your name in the top left corner)
  • Select "extensions."
  • Disable the extension for the EA App
  • Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app
  • You'll notice that the install selection has now disappeared and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension."
  • Enable the EA app extension
  • The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically
  • Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game
