why does ea desktop say i have ea play but origin and steam dont

I got Ea play through gamepass and have both my xbox and steam accounts connected to my ea account. the Ea desktop app confirms that i own an ea play subscription but origin and steam don't register. i've tried logging out and in multiple times as well as restarting my computer.

    Hi @GreasyMoo,

    EA Play through the Xbox Game Pass is only available through EA Desktop and not through Origin or Steam.

    So if you want to make use of the EA Play offer, then you will have to use the EA app. 

    Hopefully this clarifies things for you.

    Interesting, I'm having the opposite issue, sort of, I saw on Steam they were offering it and bought a year for $30, turns out that on the desktop app they would like me to "Renew" the sub. Would not be surprised if they did this on purpose. -_-

    Hey @xZephyr93 our membership is available on each platform for $4.99, or regional equivalent. There is no cross platform subscription at this time. As such if you wish to use EA Play on different platforms then you will need an active membership on each.
