Xbox Game Pass

Hello! I've already downloaded EA Play Desktop and linked both Xbox and EA accounts, but whenever I try to download a game from Xbox Game Pass on PC, it pops up a message saying that I need to install EA Play Desktop as if it's not installed at all, and if I click on "Install EA Desktop" it will pop up a message saying "Could not download EA Desktop".

When I try to download a game from EA Play I only have two options: to buy the game or to get a EA Play membership.

Chatting with Xbox Support, they told me that it seems to be a problem with EA Play not recognizing Xbox Game Pass subscription.

I understand that a lot of people are facing the same issue, but do we have a solution yet?

Can you try adjusting the UAC settings on your PC to a less restrictive setting to see if that helps?

We've also seen others get around this by deleting and re-installing EA Desktop.

I click 'Install' from the Xbox App, the EA Desktop prompt appears to 'INSTALL EA DESKTOP" (which I have installed), click that and get: "Could not download EA Desktop". , i tried to install on site ,but xbox appdoesnt recognize the EA desktop game app

Sometime there could be problems with Origind app.
I had the same issue and solved this problem by deleting all files regarding Origin.
After that i was able to download EA Desktop.
Don't know if it is your case but is still helped me.
