- @jamesjuve86 Do you mean the more forgiving traction? I asked myself the same question, it feels much more like 2020 game. I am tempted to add some throttle saturation to make it more challenging
I find control the car too easy also without assists.

You can add challenge by trying to drive faster, driving around without pushing the limits of the car will feel easy, but push the car to 'your' limit and you can easily spin.
There was certianly nothing realistic about the insane Torque of F122.
And as a additional note, Anthony Davidson was involved in the development of the handling, often real driver input needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but Anthony Davidson is well known for his excellent sim work and high quality feedback for real F1 teams, so i would be confident that the F1 23 car is far closer to the real thing in terms of traction than F1 22.
- @jamesjuve86 definitely more realistic. you can feel the car a lot more in every situation. it is definitely more realistic. is easier to drive it yes, but is it easier to squeeze out all the performance? not really, is different, but more realistic and rewarding.
Is it perfect, no, by no means perfect, but, is more realistic. F1 teams have said that, not me. We should believe them, I guess. - Apophis-STR3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@jamesjuve86The AI's behavior this year seems to be the weakest compared to the past three years. Whenever they approach an overtaking opportunity, they would hesitate, brake prematurely, then came to almost a halt just to back off, almost as if they are grappling with an existential crisis brought on by all the so-called "overly-aggressive complaints" from previous year. This new characteristic has rendered them frustratingly sluggish when navigating through traffic.
In the past they were already quite dumb on the first lap, often getting caught in groups of cars despite numerous chances to overtake. However, their current form takes their perplexing behavior to an entirely new level of incompetence.
F1 22's Ai were by no means realistic, but at the very least it was fun because they put up a fight. This year? They are nor realistic or fun to race against.
Give me back F1 22's Ai for the love of god 🤦♂️
Driving wise, it's definitely the easiest compare to the last three years, especially in highspeed chicanes for pad-users. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Apophis-STR 💯. Last years Ai you hadt to properly position and time attacking the Ai into every corner cause they wouldn’t give you an inch and if you took anymore than that it resulted in your doom.
This year I find it laughable and even feel a little guilty how easy it is to bully them. It’s clearly their corner they are on top off the apex… and I come along and just squeeze myself down the inside off them and push them off it. “Don’t mind me” 👍 - Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Thats what happens when the devs listen to those people complaining about "AI racing them too hard/leaving no space" while many of them divebomb the living hell out of the AI😂
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Meza994 Loudest voice on it and the most ridiculous dive bomber is Alex Gillon who like to drop he talks to Codemasters. And in this game he keeps says the Ai are so much better. I fear he had some influence
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Its not only him, soo many youtubers have whined about it and divebombed stupidly
