I don't think PSVR2 necessarily needs a mass of first party PSVR2 exclusive games to succeed. I have no regrets buying it. I already had a PS5, it's combination is a better experience visually than on any Quest device (from what I've read) and it's a cheaper combo than getting a PC rig that I don't have. It can also run games that Quest can't untethered.
3rd party developers are still porting games for it. I picked up Walkabout Minigolf the other week and my friends and I were playing it from midnight until about 7am. Cost £9 and provided hours of entertainment. Looking at the VR library on the PS store, there is plenty on there that I'll end up getting.
Porting will be what keeps that library growing. F1 on PSVR2 would be a port. It would be far more difficult for it to appear on PSVR2 if it had not already existed in VR form for the previous two years. We've still not had confirmation of it not eventually coming to PSVR2 and if it doesn't, it wouldn't cost EA/Codemasters anything to explain why. A little bit of transparency is all we PSVR2 users are asking for. Don't think that's unreasonable.
