Simulation Damage doesn’t work right

Product: F1 24
Platform:PlayStation 5
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug In Single Player Career, Simulation Damage doesn't work right.(especially in races). In Free Practice and Qualifying damage works fine but in a race session a little tap or even a big tap to the wall doesn't cause any damage. This is frustrating because in Two Player Career there is no problems with the damage model
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model.
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the Single Player Career (Race) and compare the damage model to Qualifying damage model
What happens when the bug occurs? My car doesn't have any damage. Damage is inconsistent between sessions.
What do you expect to see? I hope that damage model is more consistent and predictable between sessions. I had this same problem in last years game but in F1 22 damage model was fine.

  • We all have the same issue. Can't believe the first patch didn't correct it even tho it was in the notes.

  • This is so weird. Now I found that this problem is only in Single Player Career. Two Player Career & Grand Prix Mode it work fine

@CM_TGK could you please add this one to the raised issue thread?

its really making career mode impossible to enjoy.

@IRxfio This problem I reported and spoke directly with QA last year. When I was “champion” at first they said the couldn’t replicate the problem. Eventually after a few months off me continue my passing over videos and screenshots. They replicated the issue. And I assume by accident someone tagged me that fixing it in F1 23 won’t happen as it’s apparently extremely complex problem. That if they were to fix damage it would create serious issues in other parts of game. (The only thing I can think of where it would be issue elsewhere is F1 world being the game mode) iAnd that they will look to fix it in future games. Which they obviously haven’t done. As It was first thing I tested when game released. So when they said future games… it wasn’t this years. If they couldn’t fix it last year with a patch. And the general mess of everything in this years game. I have absolutely zero confidence it will be fixed this year. By trying to make it more appealing to a broader player base to sell more copies and make more money over the last 2 years the choices they have made has made the game so bad. sales are over 50% down on 22. Every year I put in a minimum off 700 hours… last year that was down to 300 and this year so far not even ten. What’s more when I turn my PS5 on, the game I’m opting to play is cricket 24 developed Big Ant Studios who are notorious for releasing completely broken games.
