Car problem in wet weather not AI

I have restarted my career and I am now certain it is the players f1 car not the AI. I have had a few wet races and it is so much more enjoyable and you can actually race properly.

I don’t know what the issue is specifically with the players car in f1 in wet weather but there is absolutely no issue in f2 with wet weather with the car or AI.

I’ve been thinking the same for sometime but never tried against f2

I think there is something they’ve done with the car in f1 that makes it bad in the wet. In the f2 car the traction out of corners was so much better, the tyres weren’t over heating like they tend to in f1 wet races (probably cos of less slipping about when going out of corners. Where the traction is better you can put more power down out of corners without it slipping everywhere.

I’m not sure whether it’s just because of traction or if there could be other things as well but you can actually race properly. First time with this game I’ve enjoyed a wet race.

Agreed, I've been saying it from day one. The rear traction on the players car is catastrophic in all configurations. Even with the on throttle differential on 10 it's pretty useless compared to the AI traction.

The principle issue for me is you need to have two separate AI levels to be able to compete from a realistic perspective.

I have to reduce the AI level by -5 to -10 from what I would normally race at in the dry.

With full TC on using a pad, the rear of the car just doesn't grip as it should especially when you directly compare it to previous itterations of the game.

In all honesty although I am enjoying it more now in the wet, due to several factors, mainly changing the way I set up the car and the minor changes made in the patch, it still remains a massive oversight by the development team. And something they absolutely can not repeat for F126!

It is better than when the game first came out but it’s still no where near enjoyable. I done a wet to dry race and I was nowhere, I was about 5+ seconds behind the driver in front and I couldn’t even get a second in front of the car behind.

With previous f1 games I loved the wet races but after this game I never want to see a wet race ever again.
