Career Mode for F1 2026
Dear Codemasters and EA Sports F1 Team,
First of all, thank you for creating the F1 games. I have spent many hours in Career Mode, and despite enjoying it a lot, I believe there are several areas that could make it feel much more immersive and realistic.
1. Make every new season feel unique
Currently, after one or two seasons, the performance hierarchy becomes very predictable. Once a team reaches its development limit, every following season feels almost the same.
It would be amazing if each new season introduced a new car concept for every team. Some teams could make a huge step forward, while others could make mistakes and lose performance, just like in real Formula 1.
For example:
Ferrari could dominate one season and struggle the next.
Aston Martin or Williams could suddenly build a competitive car.
Red Bull or McLaren could occasionally start behind their rivals.
This would make every new season exciting instead of predictable.
2. Give AI drivers more personality (pls)
The AI currently feels too perfect.
Real Formula 1 drivers make mistakes under pressure:
they lock up,
miss the apex,
overheat the tyres,
lose the rear,
make small mistakes while defending or attacking.
In the game, AI drivers rarely make these kinds of errors. Once the leader gets ahead, they often drive perfectly until the finish.
It would be much more immersive if every driver had their own personality.
For example:
Verstappen could defend aggressively.
Norris could sometimes push too hard while chasing.
Young drivers could make more mistakes under pressure.
Experienced drivers could be more consistent.
Some drivers could perform better in wet conditions than others.
This would make races feel much more alive.
3. Improve tyre behaviour for AI
Sometimes it feels like AI drivers manage tyre wear unrealistically well.
As a player, I can clearly feel my tyres overheating and losing grip, while AI cars continue at almost the same pace.
It would be great if tyre degradation affected AI drivers more naturally, forcing them to manage tyres just like the player.
4. Add more unpredictable race events
Not only mechanical failures.
Real races are memorable because drivers make mistakes.
Imagine seeing:
a championship leader locking up,
someone spinning in the rain,
a driver making a mistake while defending,
pressure causing an error in the closing laps.
These moments would create unique race stories every season.
5. Make Career Mode feel more alive
It would be fantastic to have more interaction outside the car:
talking with engineers,
discussing development priorities,
walking through the garage,
seeing the team evolve throughout the season.
Small details like these would make Career Mode feel like living the life of an F1 driver instead of simply progressing from one race weekend to another.
Thank you for continuing to improve the series.
I hope Career Mode receives more attention in future games because it has enormous potential.
Kind regards,
A dedicated F1 Career Mode player
