Done with the game until you fix the wet weather.

Racing for points at Hungary, good battle for 8-11th places, everything is going fine. Then the rains came and my entire race went for a you know what. Suddenly on inters the cars I was having a really solid battle with are 2 seconds a lap faster than me because even with TC set to medium I can hardly keep the rear end of the car under me out of corners while the AI sprints off like it’s dry and I end up in last place.

Nearly every event this season has had some sort of rain session, aside from the desert ones though I am a little surprised at even that. It’s okay in practice, and funnily enough in qualifiying, sprint quali for Spa was inters and I managed a top ten lap time. The problem comes in the race where the AI doesn’t seem to actually be affected by the rain on corner exit while I am doing everything in my power, including exiting a second gear corner in 4th gear, and still getting wheel spin.

So, until someone at EA/Codemasters wants to address this real, actual issue with the game and give the player car the same grip as the AI , or at least the ability to turn rain off entirely, instead of giving us fancy McLaren liveries and other junk we don’t need with the game in this state it is in, I think I will simply give it up as pointless and move on to something else.

  • I can't remember an F1 game as bad as this one. Some came with issues, but by this time of year they had already been fixed. We'll have to wait until September 17th for an AI update, if the "developers are satisfied," as the latest patch notes say. It's embarrassing that we pay R$400 and can't play. What a joke.

Last year we complained a lot, especially about lack of good customization but while there was a lot of “worst game ever” posts I don’t think it was, at least not off-line and at my level.

While there was no customization items and MyTeam was tired and full of the same issues it always had, career mode was decent though repetitive and the racing wasn’t bad wet or dry.

This year there still are no good customization options, the rain racing is awful, the AI traction a problem in the dry (better now), AI consistency wet to dry, qualy to race, track to track, season to season is as bad as ever, MyTeam put a fresh coat of paint on a few old problems, and while I like the split of the owner from driver did they really not thing we wanted to at least the option to create a driver for MyTeam mode?

I admit when I first played I thought the game was great, then it rained and then the more long term issues began to show up. If they fix the wet/dry issue I’ll live with the rest of and not feel cheated out of the money I paid.

I only play career mode, and I have no complaints about F1 24. If they had included this year's drivers and liveries, I wouldn't even consider buying F1 25.

Career is all I ended up playing last year too. And it was good.

  • F1's summer break is almost over, and we still don't have a decent game to play. What these guys did with the game this year is a joke.
