First of all, racing in the dry and wet, I have noticed the ai's reduced acceleration on exit, and it is definitely noticeable.The ai in the wet are still too op though. I've done 3 very short races in very wet conditions with full qualifying and most of the ai still out qualify me. I'm a lot closer to them in qualifying (now a few tenths off the back of the pack instead of seconds), however, they were just too op in the first place that even with a significant nerf, it wasn't enough.It's a similar story in the races where I'm a couple of tenths slower than the slowest ai. I'm almost certain this isn't a skill issue as I have always been good in the wet in the f1 games (excluding this one and f1 22).To me it just feels like they don't test the game enough. You'd think that they would test the game with a few users on different difficulty levels. For example, someone who uses 50-60%, another who uses 70-80% and another who uses 100-110%. Then they would get them to do quali and race sessions across a few select tracks in both wet and dry conditions and compare the times. They could then modify the ai to make the pace/gaps similar across wet and dry sessions and races and qualifying.Judging by the ai inconsistency between tracks and between weather conditions this surely can't be the way they test their games.It's so incredibly disappointing for us to be 4 and a half months into this game and for it to still have a lot of the same fundamental flaws as when it came out.

So where does this leave us and where do we go from here? After this update we are all yet again in limbo. The only way to fix this problem is to increase the rear end traction on the players car.Another adjustment and patch means waiting for another 4 months? It's so incredibly disappointing.To release the game in such a poor state and then have to wait 4 months for a fix that hasn't worked is unacceptable.

Agreed, whoever is testing the game internally hasn't got a clue, clearly.Silverstone in the dry is actually now worse than before the patch. They are so much faster it's ridiculous!Given the absolute mess they've made of the tyre wear on a pad, what chance do pad players like myself have at Silverstone. The outside left is obliterated after 7-8 laps and the AI just reels you back in.Nothing has changed in this patch that offers anything significant enough to enjoy the game. I've been waiting for 4 months to start a 2 player career mode and I still can't now.£90 again and the game is completely unplayable. It's in a mess! Never again will I pre-order.

IanM282 I agree.I've noticed since the start that it's not only an AI problem. The amount of traction in the wet that the player has is so bad. You're always fighting the car in every type of corner, every exit and even when trying to overtake on a straight it seems the car has no grip while turning.There is for sure a problem with the player car as well and that is what makes the AI look so faster than us.

I don’t know there is anywhere to go from here. If after 4 months they have no clue, I doubt they will in 8 months. The patch didn’t move the needle for me. Car feels worse in the full wet even with full TC and at Silverstone in the dry I saw the same acceleration difference out of 3rd gear.It feels like I get rain in qualy or race 20% of the time. So they gave us (or at least people who play like me) 80% of a game. 4 months into a 12 month cycle means they owe 5% of the price paid. 8 months they owe 10%. Pretty sure we won’t see that added to our loyalty bonus off next year’s game. If that game does not include features like the ability to turn off weather in career modes, ability to restart a session and change difficulty or the ability to change difficulty mid session I don’t know how many of us will trust them with our money. I had high hopes this patch would get us somewhere even if it was not 100%. In my opinion it did nothing, which begs the question around the people who tested it or for whom it did work: are they elite players, are they Max Verstappen, are they using cheats or mods? Clearly the sub average schlep like me got no benefit. And since I am using full TC and brake assist and have the racing line on I am basically an AI car. How is it I am on pace dry but completely off the pace as soon as the DRS is disabled?

They managed to fix the tires in F2, on weekends with all the races 100% The AI in the Sprint race everyone starts on soft tires. It has to be the hardest compound in Sprint races 100%

I know it would normally say but just to check will the AI improvements be applied to current saves or will we have to start a new career?

Just want to check as I know some games can require you to start a new save.

I would think it will be current save data that can be used but this is one of many reasons I wait until the mid season performance patch to arrive updated F2 cars are another reason I wait to start a new career save. Its such a shame we have to wait half the season to get these updates but its been the same way since game patches became a thing.. gone are the good old days of demos versions pre release in monthly magazines then full game on release date.. Game company's HAD to make sure there games were worthy of release or else there game flopped and they never lasted long in the gaming industry. Nowadays patches are used as an excuse to cut corners and rush out products no were near close to release and are constantly playing catch up with there own game code. Granted graphics and gameplay as come along way since my teen years of the 90s but the downside of this is the current state of most games that are released are done so on the rush rush for the profits made at the very top.

Driver ratings should also include those from F2 (i.e. from the 2024 season, Bortoleto as F2 champion should be much better than now)

What does "slightly slower" mean in practice? Will it be 2 seconds or 0.5-1 second? The AI should slow down by about 2 seconds on a wet track.
Furthermore, the AI should make more mistakes on a wet track (especially weaker, less experienced drivers).

When will you fix the anti-aliasing on the HALO pillar in night races? The issue affects the cockpit view at night on various tracks!!!
