F1 25 Ranked Multiplayer-Stronger Penalties Needed for Dirty Drivers

Dear EA SPORTS Team,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the current experience offered by the ranked multiplayer mode in F1 25.

As a passionate Formula 1 fan and a player who genuinely enjoys competitive and fair racing, I have unfortunately noticed that many races are being ruined by the unacceptable behavior of certain players.

It has become increasingly common to encounter drivers who deliberately cause collisions, push other players off the track, intentionally brake in front of opponents, or engage in the other forms of unsportsmanlike behavior simply to disrupt the race.

These actions are particularly frustrating in a ranked multiplayer environment, where players should be rewarded for their driving skills, consistency, race craft, and overall performance.

It is extremely discoursing to spend time qualifying, preparing a race strategy, and competing seriously, only to have all that effort destroyed by another player who intentionally causes an accident.

I fully understand that racing incidents are part of motorsport and that genuine driving mistakes can happen. However, there is a significant difference between an accidental racing incident and deliberately malicious behavior.

This is why I would like to know whether any improvement are being considered to address this issue.

In particular, I believe several measures could significantly improve the ranked multiplayer experience :

  • Stronger penalties and temporary bans for players who repeatedly cause intentional collisions.
  • Improved systems to detect deliberate crashes and dangerous driving.
  • A more effective safety rating system that separates clean and respectful drivers from those who deliberately ruin races.
  • Stricter consequences for repeated unsportsmanlike behavior.
  • Better matchmaking that prioritize fair and competitive racing.

I find it particularly disappointing that a game capable of delivering such an immersive Formula 1 experience can have its competitive multiplayer mode so negatively affected by players who show little respect for racing rules or their opponents.

Ranked multiplayer should be a place where players competitive multiplayer mode so negatively affected by players who show little respect for racing another driver decides to deliberately crash into them.

My intention is not simply to complain, but to highlight an issue that I genuinely believe deserves greater attention in order to improve the experience for the entire F1 25 community.

I would therefore appreciate hearing your position on this matter and whether any measures or future improvements are planned to encourage fair racing and reduce intentional incidents in ranked multiplayer.

I am also attaching a video that illustrates just 1% of the unsportsmanlike behavior I regularly have to deal with while playing F1 25. Unfortunately, situations like this happen far too often and seriously affect the enjoyment and fairness of ranked multiplayer racing.

Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,

kilyanv708

A lot really needs to improve for F1 27. F1 25 could be such an incredible game if there weren't so many unforgivable bugs and issues.

As we say in German: what they build up with their heads, they knock down with their rear end.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and for sharing these league links with me. I really appreciate your advice and your help ! I'll definitely take a look at these leagues, as I'm looking for a more serious and respectful racing experience. It's a shame that EA doesn't seem likely to make any major changes to the current multiplayer system, but hopefully things will improve in F1 27.

Thanks again for your time and your recommendations !

  • My advice would be to join a league as I don't see them making any changes to the online structure during the F1 25/26 lifecycle. I've included links to some leagues that have been posted here down below. Supposedly they are trying to "reimagine" the game for F1 27 so it's possible there could be changes then, but since the games target audience is a bit more casual compared to iRacing or ACC, I'm not expecting massively strict penalties for dirty driving.
