Hey there,
To reduce tyre wear, could you try reducing the Steering Rate and Steering Saturation within the controller settings? That can help achieve a smoother driving experience, which can reduce tyre wear.

@ EA_Groguet Adjustments to lowering the steering rate are utterly miniscule in regards to seeing any significant improvement to tyre wear on a controller, when the tyre wear is so excessive in the first place.
I run 100% steering rate and 0% steering saturation and my front left tyre wear at Silverstone on a medium tyre is excessively high compared to wheel players. After 7 laps my front left is cooked, whilst the wheel player can extend to lap 12 at least.
If this is the solution from EA, then the game may as well be in the bin!
How is it acceptable that we pay £90 for a game that was never tested properly and poorly developed?
The difference in wear rates on a pad compared to a wheel is around +15% to +20% per stint! higher. How is that possible?
Reducing the steering rate recommendation and saturation is so insignificant in the great sceme of things here. How can pad players successfully compete against wheel players in competitive leagues like this? Because in previous games this was never an issue? 15% to 20% PER STINT higher degradation on a pad compared to a wheel. Reducing the steering and saturation rate is not going to fix that whatsoever! It may improve what is a dire situation by 1% to 2% maximum.
It's simply not good enough, it has to be said. Things like this should be identified in early development and rectified before releasing the game.
This is yet again a complete failure to do the basic things right. Instead of prioritising utter drivel and meaningless gimmicks, get the fundamentals correct first.
Your recommendation of reducing the steering rate and saturation rate is abundantly clear that you have absolutely no idea just how poor this situation is.
Codemasters and EA have let down a massive amount of people with this.
This is a huge issue and needs fixing.
