Pathtracing not that great

I was looking forward to the new graphics, even if my card is not that great (RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB), but with pathtracing on, some things look better, but the cars on the track definitely look worse than with pathtracing off. They look like they're floating on the track, like totally disconnected items in different layers. You see some shadows, but they are realistic. Basically what they're missing is ambient occlusion.

Perhaps it's because my card is not high end, but to me playing without pathtracing on feels more realistic than with it on.

Did anyone else notice this?

  • I guess this is an issue with gamepass ea play version. I'm facing the same. Read somewhere that gamepass version of Indiana Jones had the same issue with path tracing.

You think that EA releases editions with different graphics for the EA Play version? Seems far fetched. For one, it would be extra work for them.
Regardless, I have the Iconic edition that I pre-ordered months ago.

I could very well be wrong. Then it could be driver issue or some setting in the driver Software.

I'm having RX9070XT. I manually downloaded the 25.5.2 version of the adrenaline software and still saw the issue.
