i did the same post in fanatec stuttering thread... just wanna let more people know what codies say 🙂
oh yeah... why not just choosing the easy way... seems that both sides (publisher and dev.) reject their responibility for their own game.. "naah ... about problems i dont care, someone else will do - i am not responsible"
i contacted codemasters support........ :
Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services in reference to F1 22.
Please contact EA for assistance with that title...

All customer support is provided via EA Help and we have no tools to be able to help from this address, unfortunately.
Hope this helps.Kind regards,RobCodemasters Customer Services- @EA_rephii Hi, when will be able to crossplay?
Some Sites sate that Crossplay will come, but not between Steam and Origin. Is that true or will I be able to play with my mates from steam at some point?
- TheOGReeceTTV4 years agoNew Scout@Hempyjr They didn't miss anything. It was announced that this was delayed all the way back at the start of May as the team they'd partnered with to deliver crossplay were based in Ukraine. Is it that hard to do your research before commenting...

@TheOGReeceTTVThat's the only thing you got from my comment? That i didn't do some lame research about a thing that i already said it doesn't botter me and that it's irelevant? Last time i checked i don't lose my time researching irelevant things to me. Move on mate. My comment was about the lack of communication from the big company EA after launch, maybe you have something to say about this thing too? Becase that's the real problem here. Do i have to make my research about that too? This is the last time i waste my time explaining to somebody what my comment was actually about when they can't see it by itself

This article is from April and was leaked even before the interview in May - https://www.xfire.com/f1-2022-small-internal-delay-supercars-cut/To be fair, whilst nobody should have expected crossplay between PlayStation, XBOX and PC at launch, I don't think there was any warning at all that PC players on Steam and Origin wouldn't have been able to race each other?
- TheOGReeceTTV4 years agoNew Scout@Ultrasonic_77 Well they only spoke of cross gen multiplayer between the different generation of consoles. This lead me to believe that pc players would only be able to play together regardless of platform when crossplay releases.
I guess not everybody read into it that way! - mariohomoh4 years agoHero (Retired)@TheOGReeceTTV Not everybody, indeed.
Usually crossplay refers to players with different hardware (i.e. consoles and PC) being able to share features together. PC is a platform in that sense, same hardware and OS family. Steam and Origin and Epic are storefronts, not platforms in that sense. - Aeghnor4 years agoNew Scout@mariohomoh And that is the main problem here. Codemasters/EA trying to shoehorn cross-play definition into cross-storefront (new word?) play. No idea why that is the case but it most certainly shouldn't be one as it's just anti-costumer.
So we had lack of communication and lack of common sense displayed here, without any clear explanation or reasoning for current situation.

I guess not everybody read into it that way!I think you're probably in a vary small minority with that interpretation to be honest. The reason being the cross-gen element is just things staying exactly the same as F1 2021, where all PC players can also play together in 21 but not 22. Ultimately the number of people posting in this thread and others highlights that this certainly wasn't expected pre-launch. By contrast I don't recall anyone posting to say they were surprised cross-platform play wasn't in the game at launch.
