Saw a video from Alex Gillon talking to David Greco that you’ve probably seen by now (https://youtu.be/L7jwRa1oVFo), saying the cars were under-steery in general, but you could easily apply too much throttle on corner exit, causing over rotation - which I guess could be interpreted as over-steer? Technically not the same though.
- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@Monzstar83 Well i saw the video dont remember him saying the current cars are understeery.. Also the setups suggest a very different base car.
When you have very understeery setups (which they got in F1 22) the base car cant be understeery.
What im trying to say is: Even the most oversteery car in the game will be understeery with a certain setup - Monzstar834 years agoSeasoned Ace@Meza994 Good point 👍🏽. Alex mentions it around the 1:45 mark in the video, although I’ve also seen others (Aarva et al) making similar comments. It’ll be interesting to see how the cars behave when we get our hands on it. I think with the wings now being 1-50 across the board on all tracks, we’ll have some more flexibility to tailor the aero balance of the car to our liking that we might have had previously.
- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@Monzstar83 Well regarding the base understeer it might be the case due to wrong values to chassis weight distribution.. always been the case and helps with the turn in like crazy..
Regarding the balance well yeah some what.. But especially looking at how big the difference between front aero and rear aero is in the setups you will still be limited.. For example i saw a 8 front 18 rear for Miami which isnt as low downforce as Monza but you cant got the same ratio down to 10 rear downforce - it only goes down to 1 at the front (or 0?) so still somewhat limiting.. With more balanced base downforce you would have more freedom but its still almost giving you everything. - @Ultrasonic_77 Difficult to say based on these forums. Sometimes we seem to think us "hardcore fans" writing in forums represent the majority of players, but what do we know about all those millions (or whatever is the correct number of sold copies) of players and their opinions and feedback to Codies?

i think something that no one has mentioned too, which clearly is a major factor, is that the crossplay team were based in ukraine, without stating the obvious its clear that this part will be behind in terms of release date due to those circumstances. so patience should be exercised for those desiring this feature

I agree this seems to be a trend in many things nowadays. New things all the time and losing interest quickly. Maybe Braking Point was perfect for these type of players?
- @Ultrasonic_77 As far as I understand they tweaked TC to cope with excessive torque of cars but none was done to reward players who drive unassisted, it's disappointing.
