Yes I am. I'm in touch with people that we can call 'inner circle' (people that hear things, before the media does). And from what I've heard Steijn is out, it's just that no replacement stands at the ready. In contrast to my own story (and mentioned by @JustinCase0110 ) Ajax does not want a young, internal coach to take over, even temporarily: it went wrong with Marcel Keizer in 2017, it went wrong with John Heitinga in 2023 - not the way to go accroding to the board (I think otherwise).
Shock is a good word for it, yes. Once again, we've never been outisde the top 6 apart from 1965, (13th - that was our crisis year), that's also been the last year Ajax failed to qualify for European football. So, how does one deal with something one never had to deal with before? I mean, two days ago was the first EVER that Ajax was positioned UNDER the relegation line (if only temporarily).
And there is much discontent directed at those in charge (read: CEO's and supervisory board, as Ajax is a Limited Company with shares), because they've put a director of football and a head coach in place that do things which completely deviate from the "Ajax way". It's shock, it's disbelief and within a matter of 12-18 months, this whole thing that was built by v.d. Sar, Overmars and Ten Hag has vanished.
If you're refering to his brain seizure in Croatia. He's doing better and he's on route to a full recovery.
Because of the situation not as bad as it initially was thought of, jokes have emerged that his medical condition and the underperformance of the three Croatian players at Ajax are somewhat connected <chuckle>

Every now and then threads pop up that clearly are not career stories, but have replies that go hours ago, back when we already updated our threads.

That sounds like what happens when someone moves a thread.
I imagine someone tried to move to CM and moved it to CMS by mistake (CMS appears just above CM on the moving page and it's probably a champion who covers a game other than FC who moved it - you'd be amazed how many people post on the completely wrong game's section). The threads will disappear again once one of the FC champions (or EA staff) sees the thread and moves it to the correct place.

I'll be honest I haven't checked out create a club since it was re introduced as it enraged me so much that we had to deal with generic players. I was actually willing to create the entire Bath City team somi could add them into career mode, even had a great BS reason to add them to the football league, not really, but I had a stroyline for it 🤣
That was then, now I probably wouldn't wanna create an entire squad of players and create a club doesn't appeal to be anymore, but it should be an option if it isn't already to create the team squad

It gives you a randomly assigned squad of new players but you can rename and tweak them all before you start a save.
I was tempted to release a load of former Hereford players before I start the save so they're free agents and I can sign them as well.
Will give it a try in a couple of weeks I think.
I might try it this season. I want to see how far my Sunderland CM can go, then I will of course do a Spurs one and then maybe create a club. It sounds like a great idea but I would have to start in league one probably, not sure I can go all the way down to league two!

In my dreams I'd have never imagined Ajax being below PEC Zwolle in the table... Neither in the PEC Zwolle career I'm currently playing with FIFA 14 from time to time (and indeed it's not happening, we're like 11th)... Let alone in real life!
