EA have massively under delivered in every aspect and for everything that they promised in deep dive this is very underwhelming especially for the first week of the game, they have demonstrated poor quality control and have removed some things from THE BETA (e.g. lineups) which is obviously a mistake but an example of poor quality control, and shows that the people checking the game and developing have very knowledge of football. Everything I will list I have experienced in the game and must be fixed by EA because honestly this game is unplayable.
Objectives not working, goals not being counted.
Pre match starting lineups removed from
Beta.
Career mode contract error, contracts are only one year and no transfer offers from other clubs.
Unrealistic objectives (eg score a bycicle kick)
Bug: can’t renew contract even though option is there.
Previous seasons kits were used during online modes (eg Man City away kit online seasons).
Winning the balondor as an essential objective is again unrealistic to renew a contract.
Making a striker but turns into a cb
No option to wear gloves for player in player career
Longer contracts with realistic objectives over the duration of the contract or even better would be realistic objectives per season.
Training glitches when called up to play for national team, club manager unhappy that you haven’t been training but training is unavailable before match.
Goals from outside the box shouldn’t be optional and bicycle kicks shouldn’t be a target at all because that’s unrealistic.
Player agents name is different from introduction in inbox at beginning of career mode and message from agent on side menu
Incorrect kits in player/manager career mode when signing a player or signing for a new club, the default kit comes up,
Correct fonts and sleeve patches and sleeve sponsor for competitions and leagues. The game is displaying incorrect font for some uefa champions league teams e.g arsenal, Man Utd still have premier league fonts in champions league.
Match objectives are still displaying on the field during match, this is a big from fifa 22 and is still in the game.
I've been having an issue where man City are playing Carson in net and only have 1 point...
And playing players I've never heard off.. is thus a bug also??
All true for me too.
Most frustrating technical issue is career goals not accruing. For example, with my one year contract (as you said, all contracts are one year, which is dumb) with my team I was required to have 70 or 80 sliding tackles, and at the end of the season had... zero.
Here are objectives that haven't logged and remain at zero for me:
1. sliding tackles
2. pass and goes
3. top corner goals
4. fancy goals
The idea that Wolverhampton needs me to kick 5 bicycle goals to stay on the team is beyond stupid, and in another case I think I was supposed to get 80 assists in a season. The Premiere League record is 20. So basically, you need to do 4x the all time record. Those appear to not be technical issues, however, simply an issue of poor judgment / research / understanding of how football works. As if they punted the task of coming up with these objectives to an intern who doesn't watch football.
So much potential to be better than FIFA 23 but these issues kill the buzz completely.
It's so silly to think that you could not get to renew your contact because you didn't score enough bicycle kicks. I played mostly player career mode in FIFA 23, but I don't think I'll play it at all in FC 24 if the realism has significantly dropped like this.
What a strange decision it was to make the game this way.
New bug: I can't renew my contract with my current club even though I meet all the requirements and they accepted my requested weekly wage. There is only one option: "Change Club." I didn't put a team in "My Path" because I simply wanted to play another season with the team I was on.
Why does this have to be so poorly thought out? Are they aware of all the weirdness here?
I just ground out a bunch of seasons changing teams each year because of other stupid things in their meta like I didn't have enough bicycle kicks to stay on a team, and was kind of happy to finally have met all the requirements of my current team so I don't have to play my character for a whole season for some other random team I don't like.
Is anyone at EA reading feedback, does anyone know? This whole mode is janky and the bustedness completely overshadows all the things they're proud of improving in the gameplay. It's just a game, I get it, but games are supposed to be fun, and somehow they've managed to work super hard to make theirs unfun. I kind of feel stupid for spending money on what feels like a beta version of something that might be cool somewhere down the line.
But why can‘t you use Long sleeves with nike jerseys or puma jerseys this makes zero sense and for me as a old school long sleeve Ronaldo fan it really takes away much fun
I'm stuck at the end of my 1st season. It puts me in the agent screen but I have option to select anything. So I'm just stuck there, I quit the game and go back to the last game
