Somehow I missed a few posts, I will get used to this forum I swear 🤣
Frustration is Europe as well and interesting take changing up to the good old fashioned trusted 4-4-2. Feels weird tho Ajax, but needs must in trying times, sometimes have to completely change what stand for to consolidate then get back to what do best when recovered and on the way back up

Interesting if this "in house" appointment is what Ajax needs to improve. I suppose that's how Guardiola started in Barcelona, but my initial response would probably be that it's a dangerous way to go with many of these appointments failing to make it. Good luck.

Impressive turnaround. Let's see if it continues. Good start for the new head coach, also announcing his intentions to play a 4-3-3 again. The Ajax way.
It's a bit of a crooked formation though, with CDM - LCM - RAM in midfield and RW - ST - LS in attack. Looks a bit funny, I've never altered positions like this (I have provided different instructions to different positions though). But I like the attention to detail, and I think it's quite common that two wingers in one team can have totally different roles, one being more of a striker and the other being more of a midfielder, providing that balance in the team.

I might try this, don't think I knew it was possible to alter the positions in the existing lineups (4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 etc.). But I might give it a shot.
However, I'd actually argue that I already do this, simply by applying different instructions to different players. My LW is instructed to stay up, so he actually plays as a LS, and one of my CM's is instructed to go forward in a "free role", where he often plays as a CAM pushing up behind the striker. I might try your version of it, altering the names of the positions too, seeing if there's any difference...
I quite often customize my formations especially for the all out attack or defensive set ups maybe not as extreme as this, but sometimes I find a certain formation works better if like a CM was a CAM etxor I want 2 CMs but one playing further up than the other but not making them a Cam and vice versa etc.
Also thought I'd take a quick peak at Ajax in my career as the job become available, they struggling there too, not as bad as irl, but they were 5th half way through the season.
As for your turn around things starting to look better for sure going back to what the club knows best. Still some work to be done plenty of time to catch Feyenoord whether Ajax do this season is a different story

- @Danimal5981 Sounds awful mate. So it's on PC then? I hope they'll fix it quickly. After all, it sounds like a bug for every game mode and not only CM. So I assume that they should be motivated to fix it rather quickly.
Just catching up, I hope they can find a fix for your glitch. I remember having issues multiple times in the past on different platforms (Switch, XBOX, PS4) and it is extremely frustrating. Nothing like losing your save or not being able to get into the game when you have put so much time into a career and were starting to enjoy it.
I really like the background of the new manager, who I know is based on you up until a point. Great mix of adding in realism and facts to make the story work.

- Two comebacks in a row, coming back from behind at Twente and recovering from being 2-0 down vs Volendam. What an upset it would have been, if you'd lost that home game. Now it turned out as a success story in stead, showing great character with the late turnaround.
Well, not a good start. To be honest, thugh, that Mislintat guy didn'l look right to me from the beginning, I'm happy that he left.
(On a side note, I went to see who he was, and... No, I don't think I like his "real life" version either).Now it's time to fight back. The situation was dire but luckily enough you're recovering. The title hopes are not dead yet!
Certainly not doing it the easy way and making hard work, but picking up wins is what's important. Let's hope going forward they not as wasteful as another side could punish them for it. The Twente result was very important as they could've been leap frogged there. A win in Europe as well will hopefully give the fans some optimism as well
