Consistency of Matchmaking In Online Seasons
Ok so I'm pretty new to these games. I used to play a little years ago, then I started playing more a few months ago. I love playing online seasons, the consistency in the matchmaking is terrible though. In this game I've found that you could play someone with your skill level and have a close game a few times in a season, then you would play against someone who you would beat too comfortably, followed by someone who is like 1000 times better than you and they win too comfortably. In FIFA 23 I found there was a bit more consistency, I don't know if that was due to starting the game later in the season. In FC 24, the chances of me playing against someone in a close game just seems to be so rare. I don't mind losing by a couple of goals but when I'm conceding 5 in the first half and unable to get near the ball, that says a lot about the matchmaking and my skill level of course.
For example, yesterday I played a few games where there was one or two goals in it, won a couple, lost one. In between those games I conceded 5 goals in the first half a couple of times and 4 in the first half a couple of times and couldn't get near the ball. I also won 8-0 against someone, which makes me wonder, if I am winning 8-0 against that person, and I conceded 5 goals in the first half a couple of times, how many goals is that person conceding against the players I am getting hammered by. I just played a game where I got beat 3-1. Another day I could have won or drawn that game. I enjoyed playing that game more than the one yesterday that I won 8-0, because it was challenging and would help me improve, but not so ridiculously challenging that I feel like it's the first game I've ever played. In the first half if I took my chances better and defended better in the second it could have had a different outcome.
