Consistency of Matchmaking In Online Seasons

I mainly play online seasons using 3.0 and 3.5 star team....why is match making always pairing me up with 5 star teams? this never happened in FIFA 23
I don't think it matters whether your opponent is using a 5 star team or not. I use Liverpool and I've been well beaten by opponents using lower ranked teams. I think matchmaking should be more based on the players skill level and not what team they are using.
I thought it would have settled down by now but I'm still coming up against players in the lower divisions that are miles above me in terms of skill level. I look at their record after I've been outplayed by them and it's just a streak of wins. Then when you do come up against an opponent and totally dominate the game and win, you think you played really well. In the next game you realise you didn't play well at all, your opponent just played really badly and you are brought down to earth with a bang on the receiving end of a drubbing from an opponent using every skill move in the game.
