No Porto scans? Why would you bother having a partnership then? They haven't been scanned since 2019/20. The pandemic is over now, 0 excuses.

Outside all the doom and gloom of the terrible lack of scans in this game. Has anyone actually managed to do any sort of enjoyable career mode as of yet?

I'm really liking the mariano scan. Maybe an Espanyol career mode with him upfront instead of Braithwaite who looks like his finger got stuck in an electrical socket. The lack of younger goal keepers is terrible so maybe Lunin in goal, Alena, Mingueza and few more signings could be a bit of fun.

Sevilla rebuild? But Sow, Pedrosa, Ocampos and Bade generics are a huge turn off. 

Real Madrid? Could be fun but I don't like playing with top teams

Valencia? They have about 1/3 of the team scanned so probably

Athletico Madrid? Not with that horrific Griezman scan

Juventus? Who would you even sign? Only about 5 Italian players scanned and they're all ready for retirement lol

Dourtmond? Probably one of the heaviest scanned teams on the game

Aston Villa are only lacking 1 player scanned

Arsenal are almost fully scanned apart from the terrible Ben White custom and the Polish centre half that barely plays

I'm flicking through sofifa looking at what career modes I could do and honestly none of the teams excite me for a career mode. I hope there's good updates throughout because this is the most dead the game has ever been 

I saw a comment that said that Kim Min Jae has his face on EAFC mobile, we will possibly see him in the next update.

Yes !! A friend of mine had said that Jae min had a bald head in ultimate team aswell, but I don’t play UT so haven’t checked 

As a Tottenham fan, it’s now been about 3 years since I’ve been able to do a career mode with them. Romero has only been scanned now in his third season at the club, Bentancur only added in one of FIFA 23’s last updates. Royal and Bryan Gil have been at Spurs for 3 seasons now and still haven’t been scanned.

This was annoying in previous editions, but I would usually find someone with similar attributes to fill in for them.

This season though, Vicario, Porro, Van de Ven, Udogie, Sarr & Solomon are all I scanned, along with Royal & Gil who are inexplicable still unscanned after 3 years at Spurs. That’s 6 of Spurs’ starting XI that are unusable in the game. 6 players with PS2 level faces on a supposedly PS5 level game. That’s embarrassing, particularly when Tottenham are a partner club of EA. They should be getting scanned every year.

Spurs would be such a fun career mode! Just too many generics to use them. There's not 1 premiership team that I can use this year because all of them have key players missing scans that I want to use. 

Most of the Bundesliga teams have bought generic players since last year so they're no good. Serie A is a mess so Juventus aren't really an option, PSG went on a generic buying spree so they're unuseable now and the lack of full team scans in La Liga make almost all career modes unuseable if you're a star head freak like me and refuse to play with any players without scans. 

The players do look very cartoon like compared to previous games. Expecially in the edit modes. On next gen consoles they look like Nintendo graphics. They have removed tattoos from players like Darwin, Stones, Walker etc, the stand hair still has the problem where it changes the players hair colour making it look nothing like them. 

The new fitness/sharpness feature in career mode is annoying as hell since I'm OCD and constantly want my players at full stamina in matches which means I never seem to have any sharpness unless I let players go into matches with stamina missing. The coaches is just a pointless feature, what exactly does it do? 

The game play is decent enough. I'm not one to go crazy over game play. Give me game play from fifa 5 years ago and a game full of scans and I'd be much happier than having improved game play and not teams to do career mode with.

Fact they haven't rescanned any new managers when that was a huge new feature just last year is very very poor. I expected all the La Liga teams managers to be rescanned.

Overall when I played the beta and played on my friends game for a bit yesterday I just don't see anywhere near enough to buy it the game.

I'd probably do a Dourtmond career mode and Espanyol RTG and a Real Madrid career mode, get bored after half a season of each career mode and then sit patiently waiting for updated with more starheads (that may never come because EA doesn't know how to communicate) 

For an offline player I just don't see how this installment is worth the price of the game. Hoping Efootball drop master league so I can play that for a while and then maybe buy EAFC in the black Friday sales or even the January sales if they add a lot of updates
