Why can't sprinting be used on EA Fc 24 for PS4?

they never help you and when they pretending to helping you its always your guilty....your comp or your network....FC 24 is half product and shitiest game ever and there is no hlep with that....game is not playable for a long time....and its about that stupid game and developers and progamers....they dont know job to do... 

It's unbelievable. They closed my case and simply stated there's no fix available. I guess I just threw away my money.

when I lose the ball I normally use r2 to sprint after opponent and when near also hold x to give an extra sprint and put pressure on opponent player usually resulting  in catching up and winning the ball back.

Now I can still run after opponent with r2 but as soon as hold.x instead of attacking opponent my player moves away from other player as if he goes to run in but then as if getting repeled away, in a similar way to when jockying 

Very strange started happening after game crash, when Load back up couldn't find my preferences but once connected online UT squad and all seemed OK, checked button layout seems fine, settings seem to be same.

What is also strange is it seems to sometimes be working in squad battles when I hold x but not in r8vals or champs or cup mode as if it forcing me away from.player.

Turns out after crash, all settings reset, I missed defending, had to change it back to advanced
