Actual fix for 3rd party codes / download stuck on preparing / game gone
Hey,
(TO EA COMMUNITY MODS : IF THIS IS NOT OKAY TO POST HERE PLEASE REMOVE POST. I'M POSTING THIS TO HELP OTHER FANS/MEMBERS AND TO MAKE SURE NOBODY SEND THEM HURTFUL FILES, Since this fix has been stolen and someone else tried to lure them in a discord for commercial purposes. My discord as you can see is purely to help people to solve this issue.)
Since there are people stealing and claiming this fix whilst I put it out there for other people to fix their issue....
I advise everybody to try to get in touch with the chat first to see if they're able to help you, if you can't reach them or you have to wait for a fix then you could follow this guide.
Here's a step to step guide on how to fix it for now until it's fixed in the EA app, (for some people it appears in their EA PLAY library after loading it on origin).
1. Delete EA APP
2. Install old origin version (link in my discord since I can't upload them here)
MAKE SURE TO DISABLE AUTO-UPDATE IN THE INSTALLER!!! Only let it create shortcuts and accept the agreement in the bottom.
MAKE SURE TO QUIT ORIGIN COMPLETELY AFTER INSTALLING.
3. put Version.dll in C:/Programfiles(x86)/Origin (see discord)
4. Go to your file explorer and type %programdata% in your browser
5. Go to the origin folder and open Local.xml with notepad (rightclick -> open with -> Notepad)
6. Copy the following and past the before the last </Settings>
<Setting value="true" key="MigrationDisabled" type="1"/>
<Setting key="UpdateURL" value="EA.sucks/" type="10"/>
<Setting key="AutoPatchGlobal" value="false" type="1"/>
<Setting key="AutoUpdate" value="false" type="1"/>
7. Go to C:/Programfiles(x86)/Origin and open the Eacore.ini with notepad again
8. The notepad should be empty if correct and you should paste this in the notepad:
[Bootstrap]
EnableUpdating=false
9. Open origin, log in and EA SPORTS FC 24 should be in your library.
10. For some people it might appear in their EA Play app this way and are able to delete origin again after this, for some it removes FC24. So your choice what to do.
