Can’t play against friends, but can play online

I can play any online game mode and all offline game modes, but I am unable to play any friends online

when trying to play an EA friend the message 

E.g. 

“ try adding a friend to play friendly” 

I have all friends added on Xbox and PlayStation

and on EA and they show online and show as a friend in EA, this is in every game mode. 

I can play online with random people but not friends

i have asked over 10 people to send invites and they say the same message when they try to play me

I believe my account is bugged and needs some sort of external reset as I have restarted and factory reset 

my whole device and game and the problem still persists. 

Any help would be appreciated
