cant play online ea fc 24

hi, I recently bought ea fc 24 but I cant seem to play online as I cannot control the players at random times during the game which makes it very difficult to play, this doesn't happen in offline game modes like squad battles but in division rivals it happens, is there a solution for this? if not can i get a refund because I'm not giving you my money to not even be able to play the game.
