Controller Bug EA FC 24 Xbox

Xbox series X - EA FC 24.

My controller works in the menus but not in-game. I only have one controller connected but profile manager says I have two and they both have the same profile. My controller is been recognised as player 2. Has anyone else encountered this and found a fix? I
