Controller not working in game PC

Can navigate the menus most of the time with ease (sometimes a big laggy) when i load into a game of rivals, the controller will just not work at all, only thing that works is passing which is very very delayed and i can see the power bar but other than that i cannot do anything, i cannot move i cannot shoot i cannot switch player. This is happening to me too. Dozens or maybe hundreds/thousands of other players too. EA isn't responding to ANY of them here or anywhere else. I want a refund or I want my game fixed. They're not helping me do either. No idea how to fix this mess. Scummy company that doesn't care at all about those that buy their product

If you are not using a Steam version of the game then turn off Steam as it causes a conflict with Controllers in-game on the PC version of the game if it is running in the background.

This fixed it for me and also made the game run smoother.
