Has this error been there since the first time you've tried playing the game, or has this started happening after a while?
If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you could try going into the GeForce Experience app and selecting Optimize the Game. That will pre-select the game config and perhaps fix this problem in case the issue is with the resolution being displayed.
If the problem persists, could you please try:
-Clean Boot: How to clean or safe boot your computer
-Uninstall the game using Ccleaner:
You can try using CCleaner to clear out issues and errors.
