EA FC 24 Freeze and speed up

So there is literally nothing we can do. I just bought fc24 with hope that it won't be happening like in Fifa 23 but after playing 1 hour it happened. Right now I'm refunding this game because I don't want to waste more time on it. When I was still playing Fifa 23 nothing really helped. Lowering graphic settings, reinstalling the game, deleting temp files, back then I wiped my disk so I can clean installation of Windows and everything else but even this didn' help. It's EAs fault and they are the only one that can fix it. Multi-million company making the best sports game and they can't fix a bug that is happening for years in their best selling game. Congrats.

I encountered a similar problem, with the game being nearly unplayable and experiencing freezes shortly after the match or kick-off commenced. Upon investigating my Task Manager settings, I discovered that my SSD or OS drive (C🙂 was operating at 100% during gameplay, with the Antimalware Service Executable identified as the culprit.

To address this issue:

1. Navigate to Windows Security.
2. Select Virus & Threat Protection.
3. Click on Manage Settings.
4. Go to Exclusions.
5. Add or remove by clicking on File.
6. Locate the Windows Defender folder in Program Files and search for the file named MsMpEng.exe.

Sorry i didn't udenstand i should put MsMpEng.exe in the exclusions?

I had the same issue. For the past few days it hasn't been happening to me.

I got i5-12400f and RX 6600

I got 2 monitors in my setup -144Hz and regular 60Hz.

What I did was switch 60Hz one when I play and limit the FPS to 60. Looks like the game is designed solely for consoles where the gameplay is capped at 60fps and cutscenes to 30... Also, I tried using the optimazation features in 'AMD Adrenaline' and set it to 'Performance' when running EA FC 24.

PC version is screwed up in so many ways, EA. That's just ridiculous.

Same issue but PS5. Unplayable.

wait, it even happens on PS5? ive been having this issue on PC since the game came out, and absolutely none of the fixes solved anything. i changed temp folder, switched to SSD, bought an RTX 4090 as well as a brand new i9, restarted my internet, even disabled Windows Defender. nothing fixes this * bug. it literally just cost me champs qualification because i had 2 matches left and i froze right at kick off. my biggest regret of all time is trusting EA Sports. * this game.
