Hi, over the last 24 hours I’ve been in contact back and forth with EA help regarding this issue, but they did not offer much assistance besides directing me to the EA forum. I’m not sure exactly where to post this to get the best and most direct help so I’m writing here as it seems a decent place to start.
Prior to describing the situation I’d like to highlight that due extreme circumstances and nuance of my issue, it is clear that the necessary resolution is simply fair compensation- either via receiving an Mbappe item as paid for, or a refund of the FC points I purchased yesterday in order to complete his SBC:
I spent a large sum in-game coins, used close to all the untradeable players I’d built up in my club over the last couple months, and bought a couple hundred dollars worth of store packs to complete the 92 POTM Mbappe card all of yesterday, as I had decided it was best to pull the trigger on this version rather than his 93 after waiting patiently for his 93 to drop so that I could compare value/opportunity cost. I fulfilled 18 of the 20 squads in doing this, with meticulous planning and process, ready to submit the final two 85 squads in the final hour with cards I had already prepared. However, shockingly and frustratingly, my UT stopped responding, and began freezing as I would attempt to submit every time, and I could not mechanically complete the SBC before expiry. Now, all that I invested, both in-game and out of pocket, is gone, for no item in return.
I hope that community managers or the appropriate EA employees have a way of being able to check and verify the progress that I made on the SBC, or my squad submission history etc., as this circumstance I am describing is something I stand by in complete honesty and good faith.
Ultimately, I’m proposing to receive some form of Mbappe item as compensation, considering the situation was out of my hands in the end, and I rightfully own and paid for the item. Or, justly, to have the submissions I made carry over into the current 93 POTM Mbappe, so that I can complete the card for the extra difference/gap. Alternatively, I propose receiving a refund of the FC points I bought yesterday specifically for completing him- considering I only used the pack-pulled cards to immediately enter into what is currently effectively a phantom SBC, and that I have not profited at all from the purchase. As well as this, consider how unfair it would be for me to lose all that I have as a loyal regular EA FC player and customer, and then just be expected to get over it and continue playing like nothing happened. I could not. I would be too sickened by the experience.
I wish not to approach this issue with a sense of entitlement, however I do believe that the only fair resolution for this matter is in the form of compensation of some kind.
