You can't discard players selected for an active Evolution.
You can discard your player once you have completed the Evolution or that evolution has expired.
If the evolution has already expired, but still you can't discard the card, please share with us the following details:

@superbett95 It's what it seems but I'm not 100% sure
I think that @EA_LeonSK or someone from EA should confirm it but it's too much embarassing for them
